The 4 Most Instagrammable Spots in the ColorHotel
If someone had asked “what are the ColorHotel’s most instagrammable spots?” 10 years ago, I would have looked at them with concern.
I would have described these spots as evocative, sophisticated and charming back then, yet today I’d say they are instagrammable or "perfect for Instagram" (I’ve even made an account because yes, appearances matter).
So, I thought I'd write this blog to recommend the most perfect and picturesque places in the ColorHotel, so that you can take some beautiful holiday photos home with you.
These are places where nature, design, furniture, sometimes a feature, subtle lighting or a particular time of day can create the perfect photo!
Here are my 4 special places:
- The Lagoon Pool
If you have a room on this side of the hotel, you can take pictures like this.
It looks like a film set, don't you think?
The curved geometric edges of the pool and the chromatic contrast between the color of the wood, the blue pool and the green palm trees are perfect for a photo where the perspective is a real eye pleaser.
- Bamboo Lounge
The Bamboo Lounge is characterised by its ethnic mix - blending elements that allow the mind to travel between Asia and South America. Wood, bamboo, light curtains blowing in the wind, soft natural-coloured cushions, plants that perfectly enhance the atmosphere: everything evokes happiness, relaxation, and good vibes.
You can take photos here at any time of day, there is always subdued, pleasant lighting that creates a softness to the colors.
- The Zen Garden
Behind the Bamboo Lounge is the Zen Garden. How could we not include this charming hidden corner in our photography list?
Zen Gardens are a big part of Japanese culture and consist of three main elements: water, stones and plants, which are strategically placed among the greenery. In the East, Zen Gardens are usually used by monks for their meditation sessions. For us in the West, it is a place of tranquility to be at one with ourselves: That's why we’ve created one!
Let your imagination run wild for your shots here and ask your partner to strike a pose that matches the relaxing energy of this place. Let the gentle sound of the fountain be your inspiration.
- The tropical Garden at the Sunbay Pool
The tropical garden surrounds the Sunbay Pool: olive trees, banana bushes and palm trees that make you feel like you are in the Caribbean! This corner of the ColorHotel is perfect for supermodel portraits and poses. Look for the best angle depending on the time of the day.
The lifeguard's advice: take photos by the pool with an amazing cocktail to make all your friends jealous (ask Alessandro for the most colorful one). A portable tripod is essential for an expert self-portrait, alternatively, a lifeguard is always available. ;)
